Our current base is Ireland. We are developing our Spain presence. Local on-water services are not yet available to book. These guides help you prepare questions; boat-specific legal, tax and registration advice comes from the appropriate specialist.
Identify the boat and seller
Match hull identification and engine numbers to the available documents. Ask a specialist to verify the seller’s authority, ownership chain and any finance or charges.
Clarify registration and intended use
Flag, ownership, your residence, location and private or commercial use can affect the required process. Obtain current advice specific to the proposed boat and use.
Ask about tax and import evidence
Have an appropriately qualified adviser review the available evidence and any cross-border purchase implications. A previous advert or verbal assurance is not proof.
Keep technical and legal checks separate
Surveyors, engine technicians and legal or registration advisers answer different questions. Agree each brief rather than expecting one viewing to cover everything.
Tell Us What You Are Planning
Share your location, budget and plans. We will explain what assistance is currently possible and record interest in future Spanish services.
